The 25th annual Out in Space, Down to Earth STEM Educator conference is for educators of all grade levels, pre-K – 12, and brings together hands on professional development workshops and local resources. This is one of the best educator conferences in the area.  The goal is to provide educators with the latest TEKS based STEM teaching strategies and concepts, collaboration opportunities and research to expand professional growth.

There will also be a tailored Early Childhood Education track for those who provide services to pre-K – 1st grade students.

Exciting News!!  Our Keynote Speaker is astronomer, teacher and writer Dr. Jeffrey Bennett author of Max series.  Dr. Bennett will speak on “The Race Between Education and Catastrophe” where he discusses why teaching is so important, and why so many of us focus our lives on promoting education. In this talk, Dr. Bennett will discuss a few strategies, with examples, that can help us “win” this race by improving our teaching success at almost any level, and especially for the teaching of math and science. Conference Registration – Participants

Pre-K to 12th grade educators are invited to participate in exciting hands-on activities led by the best STEM educators in the area.  Check out the Scobee Planetarium and preview a show. Visit with vendors and local resources to see what they have to offer.  Earn 6 CPE’s.  Early Bird registration ends February 2nd at midnight. Homeschoolers and pre-service are welcome.
