We are now accepting student artist submissions, grades 3-8, for the NASA Day of Remembrance Art Exhibit to be held at the Scobee Education Center at San Antonio College. NASA’s Day of Remembrance honors those who lost their lives while furthering the cause of exploration and discovery. On this day, NASA pays tribute to the astronauts on Apollo 1, Space Shuttles Challenger STS 51L and Columbia STS 107.

For this year’s exhibit and student competition, the Scobee Education Center would like to celebrate the return to the moon with the theme Future Forward: Apollo to Artemis, Learning from the past to build our future.  NASA is currently celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Apollo Program, which landed twelve men on the Moon between July 1969 and December 1972, as they begin the Artemis program.  Artemis will be the first crewed missions to the moon, putting the first women on the moon.
